NCLEX Nerds ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data when you use nclexnerds.com or the NCLEX Nerds mobile app.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Account information: Email address, first name, and last name when you create an account
• Study profile: Optional details about when you plan to take the NCLEX and your current status (in school, recent grad, retaking, etc.)
• Payment information: Processed securely by Stripe — we do not store your full card number

Information Collected Automatically

• Usage data: Lessons watched, transcript clicks, vocab attempts, practice question scores, stage progress
• Device information: Browser type, device type, IP address — and, in the mobile app, device model, operating system version, app version, and a per-install identifier used to manage your signed-in devices
• Referral data: How you found our site (e.g., search engine, social media, direct link)

3. The Mobile App

The NCLEX Nerds app collects a few things the website does not:

• In-app purchases: Plans bought in the app are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We receive a transaction identifier and your plan's status so we can unlock your access — we never receive or store your card details for those purchases. Apple and Google handle your payment information under their own privacy policies.
• Push notifications: If you allow notifications, we store a device push token to deliver them. Notifications are optional — you can decline the permission, turn categories off inside the app, or disable them in your device settings at any time.
• Crash reports: If the app crashes, it sends us a technical report (what happened, device model, OS version, app version) so we can fix it. Crash reports are generated by our own code — the app contains no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

You can delete your account and its data directly in the app (Account → Delete Account) — see Section 8.

4. How We Use Your Information

• Provide the service: Deliver lessons, track your progress, personalize your dashboard
• Process payments: Charge your subscription or annual purchase and send receipts
• Communicate with you: Send login codes, welcome emails, payment confirmations, and important account updates
• Improve our product: Analyze usage patterns to make the platform better
• Marketing: Send occasional product updates or study tips (you can unsubscribe at any time)

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate our platform:

• Stripe: Payment processing for website purchases — Stripe handles your payment information securely under their own privacy policy
• Apple App Store / Google Play: Payment processing for purchases made in the mobile app, under their own privacy policies
• Apple and Google push services (APNs / FCM): Deliver push notifications to your device if you enable them
• SendGrid: Email delivery for login codes, receipts, and communications
• Vimeo: Video lesson hosting and playback
• Google Cloud Platform: Hosting and database infrastructure

We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure database access, and Stripe's PCI-compliant payment processing. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account information and usage data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete your personal data within 90 days, except where required by law (e.g., payment records for tax purposes).

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and data — in the mobile app this is self-service (Account → Delete Account), or contact support from anywhere
• Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time

9. Cookies

We use session cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use third-party tracking cookies for advertising.

10. Children's Privacy

Our service is designed for adult learners preparing for the NCLEX-RN. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email.
